Update February 4
I planted spinach, brocoli, and red leaf romain in January. Since the recent freeze i believe they are all dead. I'll try again later in the month or next month.

Update September 20-27
The garden is doing great right now. I think it loves the weather as much as I do. I haven't worked a whole lot outside recently. There are a few new things to go over.
I transplanted the red romaine, ice burg and spinach into a window box. The pumpkin is getting worse. I'm not sure why. I planted more pie pumpkin and orange delicious squash in small pots at the beginning of the week. They are already looking good.
The Zucchini and Squash plants produced 3 zucchini and 2 squash so far. The Jalapeno plants are exploding, the fruit is extremely hot. There are pods on the alaska peas. The original red romaine has gone to seed. Tomatoes are flowering but not turning out any fruit. Hopefully the will now that it is cooling off.
The cucumbers we have had before have been vary bitter, so this time we are going to pick them when they are small and pickle them right away. I'll let you know how that turns out. I also planted a few onion seeds but they haven't sprouted. It is too hot for them to germinate.

My garden as of September 4
The flower that refuses to die, no matter how many times we forget to water it :-)
Awesome hardy flower. We have it under the patio cover and in the garden to draw pollinating bugs.

I'm trying to train the peas to climb up the trellis with a small wire in a semi circle. Its the rusted line in the middle of the photo.

This is our compost pile.
Red Romaine Lettuce
A small part of the pie pumpkin plant.

I love the flowers on Okra plants! The insides are deep red.

Blue Lake Bush beans (green beans)

Squash and Zucchini
Cucumber

JalapeƱo flower

Tomato buds

Beets!

Beets and Sage

Red Romaine babies (in green containers)

Iceberg lettuce

Broccoli in egg carton
Spinach
